star Review Maneuver by Chelle Bliss Well I never thought I could or would fall for another Gallo man but Lucio Gallo hits all my buttons and is totally swoon worthy. There is nothing that I did not like about this man, he just does it for me. Although a ladies man, when the right woman comes along and in this case it is single mum Delilah Miles, he knows his is a goner in more ways than one. From the first page until the last I was captivated by their story and truth be told I didn’t want it to end. This was a smoking hot read that ticked all the boxes for me and in my opinion Chelle Bliss has another winner on her hands. The Chicago Gallos are just as family orientated as their southern cousins and just as inked, tempting and hot. They love, play and are loyal to a fault and for me if they would adopt me I would be so happy. When Delilah and her daughter fall on tough times, thanks to her horrible father, she has no idea how walking through the door into the Gallo’s Hook & Hustle South Side bar will change her life. Lucio and his mother Betty immediately offer her unconditional assistance and it is this that shows Delilah what family is meant to be. Betty was such a great character that I cannot wait to see what mischief she gets up to in future books. I love that at the heart of these books is the love of family and what they will do for each other and for those in need. Chelle Bliss writes with a depth of character that at times comes right out of no-where and knocks your socks off and this book was no exception.

  • Poorly written and unrealistic

Not much about this book makes sense and I'm glad that I downloaded it for free as I would have been upset if I had paid for such drivel. The heroine makes bad choices throughout, but we are told to believe that's a good thing. Moving in with a complete stranger. Leaving her baby in the care of people she just met to go drinking and coming "home" too drunk to walk by herself (her new friends had to assist her the last few blocks); swearing at a customer in the bar where she now works, also "standing up for herself" by being nasty to both her father and her ex boyfriend, who is the father of her child and refusing him any sort of contact with his baby. Yes, he walked out on her when she was 6 months pregnant, but he still has legal rights and it should have and could have been dealt with much more maturely. Also giving up on a job for which she has college qualifications to work as a waitress in a bar just to be with a man she literally just met just doesn't make sense at all! On the one hand she is supposed to be a sophisticated and spoiled rich girl who used to hang out at a country club (and therefore should know at least some people who would be able to assist her!) But then on the other hand she acts like a clueless 10 year old who grew up without any contact to the outside world. The Gallo family with their tough act and Chicago mafia-boss-in-prison dad also didn't come across as very genuine. And the hero claiming love after barely a week?!

  • Love this Gallo family!

How can anyone not fall in love with the Gallo family? The men are sexy, strong and sweet! The women are beautiful, independent and sassy! Maneuver brings us into the world of the Southside Gallos and they are just as family oriented as the rest. They defend and support each other and love passionately. For anyone who doesn’t believe in love at first sight, this is a perfect romance to prove you wrong. Deliah and Lucio have and instant and comfortable attraction to each other that grows quickly into so much more. Deliah is left with nothing but herself and her baby on the side of the road. It may have seemed like the worst luck she would ever encounter but her luck and life was going to change when she stepped into Lucio’s world and the world of the Gallo family. Lucio sees something in Deliah from the moment he meets her. He needs to protect her and her baby, but he also falls hard for them both and shows them what a real loving family is all about!

  • Really Great book

Loved this Book. now I want to read the whole series. Gallo Men are Buff sexy and looking for love. who thought Lucio would fall for a sexy single mum with troubles. Met the whole loving family in this first book. and a bit of steamy sex, if that's what you like. such a feel good story as well. worth a read.
