  • Marius Mules III

So far I have really enjoyed this series. I find it easy to read and very fast paced, before I realize it I’m at the end of the book and I can’t wait to start the next book in this saga. The characters are intriguing. Although I have never hear Fronto or many of the other key characters they are interesting to follow even with all their character flaws. I find some of the Latin hard to pronounce and the names of places in Gaul are hard to place on a map, particularly on a Kobo tablet. Over all I am enjoying this series and must get to the next book.

  • Exciting

Another jolly good Marius Mules saga. If you are into Roman history you will love the series but start from the first book & get used to his wonderful characterizations.

  • Its not a bad title

The story is a good carry on from book ll, the finale left you somewhat in the air. What as happen to Clodius?

  • Mules III

An excellent account of the wars in Gaul which I missed having dropped Latin before the serious work of Caesar's Gallic Wars. Having the human Fronto theme and the break down of law and order in Rome adds further interest. Excellent
