  • Loved It!

Just when he thought he had found the perfect lady to wed... One that was quiet and affable.. one he could wed, create a heir and never fall in love with... Keep his emotional distance..Lady Cordelia did not seem thrilled at the suggestion. In fact as he made the suggestion and told her all the points she had that made her suitable.. "Please Lord Malicorn. That's enough." She held up her hand. "Much as I appreciate a suitable match. I simply must decline." Of course he could not believe it! Cordelia was so upset. It seemed everyone noticed her beautiful sisters, but never her. She did not want to be just a suitable convenience. But Malicorn had his own hurts from childhood and he was trying to tone down some of his rougher edges. These two were wonderful together and I could not wait to find out what would happen!! Filled with some angst, humor, a little suspense and a chemistry that in the end could not be denied!! A wonderful addition to this series and it left me only wanting more!!

  • A favorite from this author!

Marquess of Malice is an awesome historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has once again delivered a well-written book. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. I love the characters in this story. Lord Chadwick Hennessey, Marquess of Malicorn is known as Malice. Cordelia is the sister and cousin that is often overlooked. Malice and Cordelia's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and a little suspense. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. Marquess Of Malice is book 2 of the Lords of Scandal Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • An Amazing Book

Marquess of Malice is the second book in the Lords of Scandal series. This series is based on six noblemen who have opened the Den of Sin, a gaming hell but have tried to keep their identity secret. When one of them becomes engaged to one of the Chase females and the women descend into their Den, they decide they need to make sure the women don’t talk. They each pick one of the women, determined to stick close to them and ensure that they don’t disclose their identity. When Lady Abernath threatens the women in order to have revenge against one of the gentlemen, the men’s protectiveness kicks in. Chad Hennessey, the Marquess of Malicorn, known as Malice to his friends doesn’t want a marriage with emotions. He wants a wife that will be biddable, will give him his heir, and then stay in the country. He thought he had found the perfect woman for his wife in Lady Cordelia. Corde declines his offer of marriage when he says that she would be “suitable.” Chad then realizes that Corde might be quiet and shy but has a backbone of steel and is stubborn. Lady Cordelia “Corde” Chase has always been the girl in the family who fades into the background. She was the quiet one but had always dreamed of finding a man who saw her for herself. She wanted a man to propose because he loved her not because he found her “suitable.” Can Corde change Chad’s mind of what the perfect wife would be? This has been such an exciting series. The Chase women are sassy, independent, and stubborn. They are certainly keeping the gentlemen busy trying to keep up. I can’t wait to read the next book which will be Exile’s. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

  • A little disappointed

I liked Cordelia's character. She did not pretend to be anything other than her down-to-earth self. Writing was an outlet to fill in the loneliness of being overlooked and ignored because she was quiet and shy. Malice's character I feel needs work. His personality did not make sense to me. I could not figure out who he was. As the story goes on it explains why he was the way he was but what was that? I just could not connect with his character. Also, there were several editing issues I found that were inconsistent. That interrupted the flow of the story and jolted me out of the scene. It just did not make sense to me. I have enjoyed this series but will consider this an anomaly as I really like this author's other work. On to the next book.

Loved the story. The characters are extremely likeable. The hero somewhat troubled but with a heart of gold and the heroine a strong capable woman who accepts her hero warts and all. I love this whole series of books they have great stories and of course love always prevails!
