  • Fun filled mystery

Meanwhile Back In Deadwood is book 6 in this wonderful, fun, spooky mystery series by Ann Charles and all I can say is that they just keep getting better! Ms. Charles has created a fun filled world full of well rounded characters that feel like friends and that you just have to love and want to come back to visit as often as you can. Along with that you get a mystery that makes you want to follow all the way to the end...of course you hope it never will end! I think of Ann Charles not only as an author, a writer but as a story teller. She weaves a magical tail that has you entranced with her words and humor.. In # 6 Violet is back and just trying to come to terms with "who" she is and what it means to her life as she knows it after the revelation of her family heritage. Doc is once again by her side and together they move forward, both in determining and dealing with the ghostly threats and their relationship as more spooky events take place around them. To lighten the mood, Ann brings in a few of the cast members from her Jackrabbit Junction series to help celebrate Halloween with the Deadwood gang, and oh yes, the fun explodes into the streets! This is a don't miss, fun packed, thoroughly entertaining book and series! I love it and can't wait for the next one!

She increases her story’s intensity and builds momentum providing subplots and support characters to MEANWHILE, BACK IN DEADWOOD. Violet’s role in the new commercials for Calamity Jane Realty takes readers to each of the haunted properties. Readers shadow Violet and Doc as they seek information about who is responsible for the murders, kidnapping, and scary events in Deadwood. The plot comes to life as Violet, Doc, Uncle Harvey, Natalie, Cooper and Cornelius work together to find answers to what happened at Harvey’s ranch. Readers sit down at a séance with Doc and Violet, looking for answers. Charles adds surprises and humor to her story, changing direction so fast readers are in a constant tailspin.
