  • Funny and entertaining mysteries

I had so much fun reading Mean Girl Murder. This story is so well written and has such imaginative characters. Merry Wrath is an ex-CIA agent, now a suburbanite leader of a girl scout troop. Those scouts are far too creative for everyone's sake! Rex, Merry's fiancee. is a local detective who thinks she needs to stay out of his cases. His twin sisters, the taxidermists want to do the wedding decorations. Merry's mother is in town to help with wedding prep. This is a really mad romp with so many suspects. This story just rolls along and I had to finish it before I could put it down! Marriage Vow Murder is a very funny, exciting mystery with plenty of suspects. Leslie Langtry writes the best mysteries. Who else could believably turn a former CIA assassin into a girl scout troop leader? And these girl scouts have some serious skills. It's wedding rehearsal time and the groom is MIA. Merry just knows Rex has been kidnapped - never assuming he got cold feet. With the help of her fourth grade teacher, will Merry be able to figure out the clues in time to save Rex?Is Merry in danger? You will have to read this one to find out!

  • I love Merry and her troup

The characters in this series are funny, over the top but somehow you believe every word and I love them for it. Nice, entertaining read for a rainybSunday.

  • Love this series! A lot of fun!

Map Skills Murder : Loved this book! Poor Merry is planning her wedding and Rex's sister has some incredibly out there ideas for decorations and bridal accessories. I really enjoy this series and the characters. The girls and cats, especially, are hilarious in this one. If you like this series, you’ll enjoy this instalment. Mean Girl Murder: I really enjoyed this one. The characters all have their own quirks, but the cats and the young girls are hilarious. They never fail to make me laugh. In this book Merry, Kelly and the girls are making a float for a Halloween parade when a dead body is discovered inside. Even though Rex doesn’t want her to, Merry investigates death. She is also surprisingly helped by Kelly, who is bored with her life at the moment and wants some fun. The wedding is in a couple months time, so that’s mentioned throughout. I may be the only one, but I really do not want Merry to marry Rex. I just find him so dull. This is a fun, easy read. Marriage Vow Murder: Rex goes missing the night before the wedding and Merry has to solve clues, all based on a wedding rhyme. She enlists the help of her grade 4 teacher, who was always great at solving puzzles, and Riley who has set up his new PI firm in town. There are many possible kidnappers and it’s hard for them to narrow the list down. The girls are all there, hilarious as always. Another fun book in this great series!
