    I loved this book!

I really enjoyed this book! I loved Michael’s writing style and the unexpected twists in the story. It was very engaging and hard to put down. It left we wanting more. Yes I hope Michael adds additional stories about Mimi!

    Fascinating world

Really, I want to give this one a 4.5. One day we'll be able to leave 1/2 stars, maybe. Mimi is a fascinating character who is living in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian world in our far future. Her city of Manhasten walks and wanders the world, trying to avoid other cities and trying to find the necessary resources that the city needs. Manhasten has a pretty strict class system, but as a homeless and one of the people who call the Nowhere home, she's outside that system. Mimi has lived for centuries upon centuries, trying to stay hidden and alive, and trying to hide the fact that she can skim minds and get information that way. She's had lovers, but the relationships always end badly, especially if she tells them the truth, but now she has Shannon, and she loves her. Poor Mimi, I can't imagine living your entire life watching the people you love die. She lives lies so that she doesn't lose her lovers too early, but it still doesn't last for long. It's a fascinating world with an interesting story that I'm excited to continue to read.

Exciting tale and a fantastic start of a series.

I fell in love with this book, with Mimi and all the other characters. I both want, and don't want, to live in this unique world! The prose is fantastic, and the new take on environmental disaster and how we humans keep consuming, and keep destroying, is refreshing to say the least.

    Mindset

At first a love story, then mystery, then sci-fi, then transition into action and ends in suspense. A very unique story of future world's were survival is the focus and not all are equal citizens. Some problems of today still persist.

    A good read

Rather short but well written and entertaining. A good one night read. The main character is interesting but some of the secondary characters are somewhat two dimensional. It will be interesting to see them fleshed out in further episodes.
