  • A sort of 'Hollywood Housewives meets American Jig

A sort of 'Hollywood Housewives meets American Jigiloo' This is from the Misadventures collection and is a standalone story Oliver is only 27 but his modeling career is failing (I am thinking you need a new agent, but that is neither here nor there) After an afternoon of eavesdropping on the condo's lonely housewives, Oliver gets an idea. He starts his own company providing women with their perfect date with a real live "book boyfriend" (he is a Jiggilo) - How hard can it be? ( Always the famous last words) Oliver is the sweet attentive romantic type that any woman would truly love to be with and our two lead females Bailey and Skye (Hollywood Housewives) were a handful, to say the least! There were times I did not know where Oliver found the patience for them. The fact they can rant on about their spouses for crimes they are just as guilty of did irk me a bit - but hey this is fiction, anything can happen The storyline contains some laughs, a small touch of suspense and a whole lot of very sweet romance Overall the story is entertaining just not one of my favorites in the collection I read a comp copy

  • Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend

This book was a lot of fun wrapped up in a sexy and entertaining concept. Elliot is an out of work model who feels he is washed up at the age of 27 and knowing he has made bad financial decisions in his past he needs to find a side hustle just to pay the rent. While sitting around the pool and listening to the "moms" he comes up with an idea, he places a personal ad to be a Book Boyfriend. Little did he know he would actually develop feelings for the first "date" and not be able to get her off his mind. So many twists and turns and even a little bit of suspense added in with some snark keeps this going. Just like all the other Misadventures this is a quick read and definitely satisfying. I recommend this one to warm up a winter afternoon! **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

  • Great addition

5 Star review of a Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend by Victoria Blue The Misadventures Series is written by so many different and wildly talented authors and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend was a great addition. Whats a model to do when at age 27 it appears their career is over? That is the position that Oliver Connely finds himself in suddenly.; from making mega bucks to barely making the rent. After overhearing a group of women talking about their book boyfriends, he has the idea to create Book Boyfriend Incorporated, after all it will be a sure fire win, or so he hopes. However, it all comes crashing down when he falls for one of his clients, Bailey Hardin. When Bailey’s politician husband turns up dead the stakes become so much higher than anyone particularly Oliver expected. Particularly when Oliver’s best friend and roommate Skye decides to stand for the suddenly vacated position. This was an emotional read, it was full of romance, humour, drama and angst and had me captivated as Oliver and Bailey were swept up in the tide. The chemistry between Oliver and Bailey was overwhelming and the twists and turns were an added bonus. Victoria Blue created a great story and it is a fabulous addition to one of my favourite series.
