  • Great Christmas novella

I love reading novellas, because when written well, you get a full story in a fraction of the time. Leaving more time to read more books! Ms. Shalvis wrote a wonderful, fully satisfying story in Mistletoe in Paradise with a couple worth cheering for. Hannah and James pick up right where they left off, even as many years and many hurt feelings have come and gone. They both try to fight the attraction and in Hannah case, hold on to those old grudges, but whether it’s their forced proximity or the magic of the Caribbean waters, fate has another ending in mind for them. Great couple, great story and a great addition to not only my holiday reading but my catalogue of favorite Jill Shalvis books!

  • Holiday in Paradise

This emotional charged novella is a holiday in paradise great read. After reading this book I kind of wished I took my Christmas vacation in the Caribbean each year. This was a fun, sexy, emotional charged second chance romance. I cried, I laughed and just enjoyed paradise while reading this novella. *I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion*

  • Sweet!

A second chance romance with heart that will leave you with all the feels. It's sweet but touches are some hard truths for Hannah and James. Their love and chemistry is palpable. I love that the story gives you so much but that it's not long.

  • Start the holiday season with love

I know it is only September but after reading Mistletoe in Paradise I am ready for Christmas and a Christmas miracle just like in the story. Hannah was not looking forward to spending Christmas on The Therapist. The workaholic didn't want to miss work and could only go if she kept her phone on. She has avoided her stepdad, Harry, for more reasons than I can count. But all he wants for Christmas is her. How can she say no? She wants to avoid her past, her loss. She definitely doesn't want to give Harry the present from her mom. Her only saving grace is that James won't be on board. A piece of her past will stay in the past. The holiday is ruined with just a smile on Harry's face. A smile that was meant for someone behind her. Never has a boat been more appropriately named. Never has so much happened in just four short days. Christmas Miracles can happen. Love can heal wounds. Family can be the best medicine.

  • A wonderful second chance romance!

Another well-crafted story by Jill Shalvis – this novella delivers a full story with a second chance that will leave your heart full! I just love when a story surprises you, and Mistletoe in Paradise did just that! Both James and Hannah have misconceptions about each other, and I love how I was taken along for the ride with these two as they discover that the person they thought they knew so well and had all figured out was so much more. There’s a tragic past and some dysfunctional family dynamics, but when Hannah and James are forced to face their pasts and learn who they each have become as well as they whys, all of the reasons of why they shouldn’t be together seem to fade away – now if they can just figure out how to make what they both want happen. Jill Shalvis always delivers a heart-felt story with characters that are relatable and have depth. Even though this was a novella, this felt like a full-length novel with a fully developed plot. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series (yet!), and this story easily stands on its own. Another wonderful read from an author I would highly recommend to anyone!
