Would recommend this to anyone who has gotten a bit tired of the standard BL tropes. The romance is refreshingly understated, but definitely there. You'll have to have an open mind to appreciate it, especially with the human x non-human pairing. But if you can look beyond that, it's sweet and surprisingly wholesome in my opinion. Both the "monster" and the "beast" have room to grow, and I'm curious to know more about these characters and their world. There are signs of an actual plot(!) beyond the romance, which I am excited about. And the fantasy setting is a plus, since we don't get enough of that in BL. The art style is clean and uncluttered. It's deceptively simple-looking, but there's an attention to detail that really shows the mangaka's care. I personally find it very pretty. There's one page here that has made it into my list of favorite manga panels of all time. It was just that cute :3 All in all, I just really enoyed reading this. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm looking forward to continuing the story~!

Overall was an interesting read. I will say that I have mixed feelings about Liam in how he just dismisses Cavo like that at the near end of the book. I understand that you shouldn’t lead someone on and to break it cleanly but at the same time do Liam really have to be “I don’t care if you leave” towards Cavo?🥲 I felt that was such a jerk move. Hence I hope he gets some character development as the story goes on! Don’t hurt baby Cavo anymore ok Liam?🥲🥲🥲

    Thanks for your feedback!
