  • A play on Beauty and the Beast

Robin was a Goblin King, but is now stuck in Shadowvale, an invisible border confining him to his property. Theo comes to Robin in order to work off her father's debt from long ago. A year of service to Robin, the debt will be paid and she'll be free to go. What neither one of them expected was that a friendship would develop and feelings would grow. However, Theo's secret Fae heritage has the potential to ruin it all. I enjoyed this twist on Beauty and the Beast! Robin was definitely not an angry beast character, but had his own issues, and Theo was 'moody', but understandably, with her upbringing. She wasn't as moody as I'd expected, though, when I'd read the title. I love this series, and I liked seeing characters from previous Shadowvale stories in this one. This was a fun paranormal romance!

  • So good I read it thrice!

I just love Kristen’s writing style and the dimensions she brings to her characters! Robin is snarky, suspicious yet kind and good natured! Moody has every reason to be cautious with her affections but still finds it in herself to offer friendship to robin. Just perfect!!
