  • Sad to say goodbye to this series

I have been putting off reading this final book in the series and I wasn't sure why at first but now I've come to realise that I simply was in denial because I did not want this to end. Once I finished reading this, it would all be over. Having said that, I freaking loved this book!!! Every time I delve into one of these books it's like being welcomed back into a huge extended family. I feel like I'm sitting in a comfy chair in Elodie & Clark's living room just watching the story unfold around me in vivid colour. Logan MacLeod is a man with a past, that he does not regret yet it hovers in the background because it has shaped who he is now. He is not into 'serious' when it comes to women, therefore he only sleeps with ones who are not 'wifey' or 'forever' types. He sleeps with a lot of them and his unfortunate next door neighbour hears every second of it through their adjoining bedroom wall. 'Player. Absolute Player with a capital P.' - Grace Grace works from home a freelance editor, which means she can sometimes be up at all hours of the night and really values her sleep time. She does not appreciate been woken up to 'Oh God' or 'Oh Logan, Logan' each time her neighbour brings a woman home. Enough is enough so she confronts him and by god is he hot. It kind of annoys her even more, well that and his cocky arrogance too. 'Party noise I can lower. However, how loud women are in my bed is out of my control' - Logan When Logan's past comes back to visit him, quite literally, he finds himself in a situation that he has little or no control over. Grace steps up to the plate and helps him out which is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between these two. There is also undeniable sexual attraction that gets very intense at times. Grace battles with her inner dialogue a lot, her mother has plagued her with so much self doubt her entire life that she struggles to accept the good things when they happen. Logan is trying to adjust to a huge change in his life and I just loved how he grew into his new skin. I loved reading every sentence of this story and how all the other characters from this series were nicely woven into this too. Then there was that awesome epilogue - gah! This is a fabulous series of books that I have enjoyed immensely and Samantha Young is a very talented and beautiful person indeed! One last thing, Samantha writes some of THE sexiest sexy moments I have ever read so I will leave you with this.... 'I came around his fingers, my cries of release swallowed in his kiss. As I shuddered against him, I kissed him and sucked on his tongue. His answering growl spurred me on until it descended into the dirtiest kiss I'd ever experienced.'

    Thanks for your feedback!
