  • A literary Tour de Force by the master Swift

Graham Swift embarks us on a very special and life-changing Sunday in the heart of the English countryside. There are so many themes in this short novel which manages to distill a magical atmosphere and even some suspense. Swift is one of the great writers of our time. I also recommend "Wishing you were here" and many others.

  • Mothering Sunday

A beautiful novella capturing both the period and the art of 'story telling'. Every aspect has been covered atmosphere, character and plot, succinctly evoked.

  • Gripping

Quite unusual in presentation. Some surprises . Good facinating characteristics. Good pace and lucid writing.

  • Quite a day!

My first Graham Swift; the fact of the suicide is stark. Made me ponder. V.G.

  • Origineel

Spannend en origineel. Je leest het in een adem uit. Niets verklappen, lees het zelf maar.
