    Murder in the Manor

I enjoyed this story located in England with Lacey Doyle who had crossed the pond in search of the peace she remembered as a 7 year old.

Nothing really cozy about it .

really odd. The heroine is Lacey Firstly she is in New York and decides to fly to the UK right away . This presumably is in the morning as she is on her way to work . Hops on plane and off she goes . after 7 hour flight and a two hour taxi ride she arrives at her destination and strangely it is the same day and it is daylight . the time line is wrong as the UK is 5 hours behind . this does not take into consideration the time spent at the airports checking in and out . Manages to find a place to stay that has an Arga cooker , I presume that should have read Aga . a few days later she has decided to open an Antiques shop and within a short time got herself a work visa online without any trouble .I have never known any government office work that quickly . The story is is a bit muddled to say the least . AT one point she goes to an early morning meeting at a country estate at abot 7.30 AM to have breakfast with the female owner which the owner orders in each day ????? the house is empty except for the body of the lady she was supposed to meet . Police suspect her . She later goes back to house and meets the owners Valet . this is odd as ladies d not have valets . she is widowed so there is no man to assist dressing etc. I am sure he would not assist the dressing of a lady . Perhaps they meant that he was the Butler . Seems for such a big house he was the only staff member no one was there to cook breakfast and strangely no mention of it ever being delivered the day of the murder . Sorry this book was not very well researched and very amateurish . Will not be reading any more in this series .
