  • Murder on the Orient Express

This book is the first Agatha Christie book I have and I must say it is a classic. I am 10 years old and reccomend it to people of my age and over.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Classic Whodunnit with a twist!

I mean a mysterious murder in a closed place with a finite number of possible suspects all trapped; a cool-as detective; enigmatic characters; and a chance to work it out ourselves as the detective states "we know everything we will need to find the murderer from the interviews". What's not to like?? I wanted to work this one out, I even tried. Kind of suspected it...but the twist in the end is far more elaborate than I had imagined. It would be hard to guess because we actually don't have all the info until the end. But it is definitely worth a shot. Loved it!

  • Good

Good and entertaining deduction of a crime but at times feels a bit over-stretched.

  • Murder on the Orient Express

A wonderfully well-written piece of work by Agatha Christie. It leaves you guessing until the very end and the plot was ingeniously crafted to surprise you at the point of revelation. A very crafty and well-thought murder that most readers would never have been able to guess. On the other hand, I feel that while the plot was beautifully and completely wrapped up by a fulfilling solution, there was a lack of an understanding of the characters enough to make you fully surprised at the conclusion. Near the end before the solution, some keen readers could have predicted the solution and so it did not produce such a dramatic effect as it should have been able to. However it must be stressed that the solution to this murder is so unique, most of the time you won't see it coming. Therefore, it is a book to go for if you're interested in a well-thought story so smartly written, your "little grey cells" will enjoy this little challenge. However, if you're looking for a mystery book with the signature psychology work by Agatha Christie, you should check this out later, preferably after reading the Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Murder on the Links. Hope you enjoy reading about Hercule Poirot as much as I do!

    Thanks for your feedback!
