    Wonderful, rich text with a chance of reflux!

    This was a book that you knew what you were going to get before finishing the intro. To be fair as Jay points out at the start, if you got it yourself , you know what it is about. The headlines won't grab you though. Bad restaurants, poor service, undeserved pricing. So it is about style and Jay displays that in a manner that can be both conversational and incisive. I am a fan, and I have followed his reviews for many years. You love it when he praises good, inventive food. But you do love reading about the failures!
