  • Good read

Expect a lot of twists and turns in this book! Sarah and Steve lived together and have an almost 4-year-old son, Oliver "Ollie." They broke up and Steve is preparing to move in with Laura, a Hospice nurse he met while his father was in Hospice. Sarah is dating Joe, a guy she previously dated years ago, who divorced his wife Courtney because she cheated on him. Steve wants Sarah to start letting him take Ollie to spend the weekends at Laura's place. Once Ollie starts spending time there, Sarah begins to have bad vibes. There are lots of characters in this book and the story is told from the views of multiple characters. I enjoyed this complex story with all the family dynamics that evolved. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of this book that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end in exchange for an honest review.

  • Twisty plot, unreliable narrator

Sarah is suspicious of everyone, particularly her ex-husband Steve and she doesn’t feel good about his new girlfriend, Laura. Sarah is a very unreliable narrator, and the reader can’t trust her either. Nothing is really as it seems and creates mistrust. A slow-building plot that generates problems discerning what is really going on—I felt disconnected—separated. A psychological family thriller that becomes complex and confusing. Ollie, their son, is caught in the middle with a secret he is not to divulge. Sarah is divisive and not engaging and I had problems following the twists. Not my cup of tea but there are those who enjoy this kind of family drama and will. CE Williams

  • Loved!!!!!

My Review: Wow, wow, wow, that ending was epic!!!!! I did not see any of that coming. Anyone who knows me knows that Im hard to shock but this book shocked me to my core. I’ve read several of this authors books but this one topped the cake. This book was about a mother who was very protective of her son. She would do anything to make sure he was not harmed in any way, shape, or form. This mother knew her ex had moved on but should she trust her ex’s new girlfriend or not especially around her son? That’s the million dollar question that needed to be answered. Strange things have been happening ever since the new girlfriend has been in the picture. Is this just a coincidence or is there something more sinister going on? You found out this and so much more by the end of the book. I don’t even know where to start with this review. I’m speechless and that’s hard to do. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for this author to write more. This book brought out so many emotions in me. I am a mother myself so I do know what’s it like to want to protect my child at all costs. I am however married to my child’s father so I’m not sure what I would do if another woman was to enter my child’s life. I do know though I would be very cautious and investigate that person. There are so many bad people in this world and you just never know what kind of crazy you are dealing with. I love it when a book really makes you think what you would do in that same situation. I also loved the plot and that’s what drew me to this book. I’m a sucker for any kind of books dealing with kids. They are vulnerable and innocent so they always make for a good storyline. Now on to my favorite part of the book, the ending. That twist at the end made this book. I couldn’t believe it. This author did such a great job making you think that the book was going one way and then BAM it went in another direction. This is the kind of book that will stay with you and I’m so happy I decided to read it. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Brilliant!

What a whirlwind of emotion this book was! I totally got Sarah’s concerns and loved her chapters. I felt her apprehension as she’d hand her little boy over to her ex husband and his new partner, Laura. As the concerns about her piled up, the intensity of the story increased to breathtaking heights. The complexity of the problems really wove around intricately, taking me on a journey. Revelations escaped at just the right time, keeping me glued to the pages and dying to know what would happen next. Oh, and ‘this is our little secret...’ - that line is immensely creepy when children are involved. I found Laura to be a more complicated character which is what made her so intriguing. I also loved how things twisted and turned. One minute I was convinced that I knew what was happening then something would challenge that thought. The ending was a whopper and definitely jaw dropping. This psychological thriller had me totally gripped throughout and I read it it in two sittings. It’s a fast read so buckle up. If it’s speedy, breathtaking and twisty you’re after, ‘My Husband’s Girlfriend’ is your book!

  • My Husband's Girlfriend

My Husband's Girlfriend is the latest story by Sheryl Browne. Sarah, our main character, is separated and divorcing her husband. She has begun seeing a boyfriend from years ago. Her future ex has a new girlfriend who he's already moved in with at her house. But that means Ollie, their child, will be spending time there and Sarah doesn't trust the girlfriend. Ms Browne gives the reader some twists and turns, and at times keeps us on the edge of our seats. I want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for an early copy to review.
