  • Brilliant

I've never read any David Morrell before, so I thought I would ease myself into the writer of 'First Blood' with a short story to see if I liked his style. I do, this poignant piece both entetains with action and pulls at the heart strings. It deals with duty, friendship, forgiveness, and the indescibable thing that drives people on during times of war. I loved it.

  • An excellent story

A fascinating story about friendship and loyalty set in the context of a battle I never knew about. Not only was it a fascinating story but it was also highly informative (The story about the wooden hand was particularly interesting and inspiring). The action scenes were very intense which is classic Morrell and the main story of soldiers forced by the war to fight against their friends was very moving and built up the tension to the very end.

    Thanks for your feedback!
