  • Profound

Can a child ever recover from the rejection of a seemingly unloving mother. Elizabeth Strout explores the subject idelicately: maybe there just are no answers. It is what it is!

  • My Name is Lucy Barton

A gentle, insightful book. The writing style is unique; it comprises brief commentaries on Lucy's life, thoughts, family and friends that seem to just skim the surface, but in fact reach deep beneath the surface to reach the vulnerable essence of each character.

  • My name is Lucy Barton

Diary like _ random thoughts on a page. Short stories about incidents that happened in her life. How she felt about her family, her friends. No story line here just random thoughts. Lost concentration from time to time.

    Thanks for your feedback!
