  • Neither bad nor great

The story was jusy ok. Could have been better with more backbone on the h side, tighter resolve on H side.. Unfortunately it was just... Mehhh.. No strong passions on both characters.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • This Ice Fulfilled Many Nice and Naughty Dreams!

I love sports romances because if the author has done their research then you will enjoy the competitive nature of the protagonists, get some play by play action relating to the sport and enjoy the sweet and sexy aspects of love and desire. Authoress, Sylvia Pierce, provides all of the above and more in spades! "Naughty Or Ice" is first in the "Buffalo Tempest Hockey Series", where we meet three hockey players and take a ride on their journeys of play, prominence, pioneering and passion! And this first book, gives us such a thrilling experience, for sure. Starting Center, Walker "Forty-Six" Dunn is having a tough time recovering from a devastating injury. His team mates, coaches, managers and trainers are doing their level best to get him into shape and back on the team roster. But something is off and Walker might need some specialized training and healing, not just for his body but his mind and heart too. And in comes Evangeline "Eva" Bradshaw! Two-time Olympic Champion and Figure Skater Coach, Evangeline Bradshaw has smarts and skills on the ice along with the ability to vent her spleen if someone crosses her path. She has to remain in charge and control, regardless, of what a big, bulky and egoistic hockey player thinks of her. However, within Eva, beats a heart of someone who empathizes, understands and knows what it takes to the be the best. These two have had their share of heartaches and have major responsibilities on their shoulders. They are gun shy and hurt because of various reasons but the outcome and outlook is the same - shutting down and avoidance. However, there is something between them - a connection - something that pulls them towards each other. However, since both of them are in denial and not wanting to acknowledge this bond, they fight, argue, push each other's buttons and explode on the ice. Their ire and frustration leads them to passion so fiery and bright, that it just about consumes them. And for the reader, we are off for a fun filled expedition that leaps out of the pages! Add on to this trip: A cute 6 year old, a massive slobbering dog, a no holds bar sister and two well meaning guy friends along with some other supporting characters, and it is pure entertainment. I loved the writing style. I read sentences over and over again, because I wanted to create the proper picture in my mind. Plus, I love the way Sylvia Pierce writes action scenes, where we are walking side by side with the characters. She knows her hockey and the skating moves were nicely depicted. There is swearing, but appropriate for the type of book it is. I love when you get both character's viewpoints, makes the story more complete. Lastly, even if predictable, the way the tale unfolded still had some surprises for me. I did not see Eva and Walker reaching their destination, the way that the story told it. That is all on my saying, because it is better if the readers check it out themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed this story! I am eager to read the excerpt of the second book, "Down To Puck" and read the remaining two books in the "Buffalo Tempest Hockey Series". If you are a sports fan, love some rivalry, appreciate heated passion and fancy protagonists realizing what is truly important in life, you are in for a treat!

  • Nauhty or Ice

Eva was achsmpion ice skater but she gave that all up when she fell pregnant and never went back to it but went into coaching instead, that is where she is at the moment about to meet her next job ice hockey champon Walker Dunn. When they first meet Eve feels lime she has been hit in the face with a jockey stick he is gorgeous. Walker on the other hand he doesn't feel that he nees to be shown what to do on the ice by a princess, that is until he sees her then its all over for him all he wants is to devour her. It doesn't take long for these two to hit it off both on the ice and off but Eva is afraid to get involved with another hockey man will this one actually be her knight in shinning armour.
