  • Don’t miss this one.

The relationship between two life long friends, turns into more. Nothing about this story is easy, but in the end romance and friendship changes, the challenge is can it last, moving toward a HEA. Another special story. Don’t miss this one.

  • Loving this Ever After series

At the end of book one in the Ever After series, Katie drops a little bombshell that leads us to Needing Happily Ever After...she’s getting married! Imagine her family’s surprise, since they didn’t even know she was dating. And it’s to a man she’s known for years, her best friend Damon, but he doesn’t even live locally. How are these two longtime platonic pals going to pull this off? The premise of this story is a bit different, as the reason for this fake relationship is all because of a house. That’s definitely a new one for this reader. But as a fan of the faux engagement sub genre, I’m in. I liked Katie and Damon, but their newfound feelings for each other didn’t always ring true for me. It didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the book, but I was honestly more intrigued by the chemistry between Katie’s brother Logan and Faith, which I’m thinking might be the hottest book of the series! My four star rating is actually more for the wonderful writing of Elena Aitken, who’s books I always enjoy and definitely recommend to existing fan as well as new ones. Her storytelling is engaging and guarantees that I will not want to put the book down. So while every couple may not be my favorite, I’ve never been sorry I read their story.

  • Swoon worthy

I'm loving this series! This group of friends has me sucked in and I'm already counting down the days to the next one. Katie and Damon have been friends since forever and their path to becoming more was a story I really didn't want to put down. If I hadn't passed out reading, I would've finished this in one sitting. I can't wait for more of this series!

  • friends to lovers

A wonderful and sweet small town friends to lovers romance. Katie is the small town girl who has never left home and Damon is the small town boy made good after leaving town. They have a connection that everyone else has seen before they do. We still see plenty of the other characters that revolve around the wedding planning business as well as a glimpse of Hope and Levi from the first story.

  • Even better than the first!

Despite the deceptions, I loved Katie and Damon's story even better than Hope's. I loved seeing how best friends came to realize their true feelings for each other, and how even before that they were willing to do absolutely anything for each other. They'll have a lot to live up to, but I can't wait to see what happens in the rest of the wedding series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
