  • New York to Dallas

I had read this book previously but didn't recognise the front cover when I got it from the library, so I decided to read it again and I wasn't disappointed. This time Eve and the gang face a previous foe, Issac McQueen who kidnaps and abuses young girls. Escaping from prison, he taunts Eve into hunting him away from her fairground of New York and all the way to Dallas. With the help of the local PD and her team of trusty side kicks in New York, this is an action packed adventure with a few twists and turns along the way (especially when you find out who McQueen's partner is!) This book is a little bit more emotional than other 'In Death' books as it relates to Eve's previous life as an abused and damaged child. There are scenes in in which can be quite graphic and may cause some triggers for people. Overall, this is an enjoyable book and the scenes between Eve and Roarke are beautiful and really well written. I would recommend that you read this series from the beginning so that you get a feel for the characters as well as background information on Eve's life as a child. Once I start reading J. D, Robb books, I just can't put them down as they are just easy read, packed full of action, intrigue and a little bit of romance!

  • Winner

I have read a few of the later books but loved going back & being able to understand some of the things those books reference. Plot well written & Roarke more lovable than ever
