    Interesting account

I think the chap was mentally worn out after 350 carrier landings.! Looks like he was 60 when he retired. Agree with his take on automation. Blooming dangerous, accidents waiting to happen. Any accounts of when automation actually saved a plane and passengers? Hope he enjoys retirement.I found paddle boarding very soothing and satisfying. I was taught by Johno at an airbnb at Tallebudgera. Look fwd to seeing Kevin there.

    Rainman

A skilful ex-US Navy “Top Gun” graduate manages to overcome a computer malfunction, and land a commercial airliner, thus maintaining QANTAS’ legend of never crashing. Luck, training, bravery and experience. The result ? PTSD. I’ve flown with Richard DeCripney. I would be an honour to fly with this man.
