  • Family saga covering many countries.

Nicely, simply written, great characters, story of pre-independence Israel and one family whose influence was felt in both America and Palestine. Very easy, absorbing read.

  • You may not be able to put it down

Picks up where fiddler on the roof ended. Follows the lives of a family from a small village in the Ukraine from 1906 through two world wars to the founding of Israel in 1948. Fascinating with a ring of truth. I would have loved to have met the protagonists.
