Another great read by Jody Hedlund

This is the second book in the Michigan Brides series by Jody Hedlund and it is a wonderful story of a young woman who is left basically penniless by her no good husband when he is murdered. Annalisa Werner's father requests a groom be sent to marry Annalisa and take care of her and her little girl. Along comes Carl Richards whom everyone thinks is the groom sent from the Old Country, Germany. Carl is the son of a Nobleman on the run from an angry Duke and a death sentence hanging over his head. Carl has no idea how to farm, so there is a rude awakening coming for him. This story shows a lot of character growth and teaches love and forgiveness go hand-in-hand. The characters are likable and bring a lot to the story. I liked the plot and found it believable. I have read several novels by Jody and find her to be an excellent author and recommend her and this novel to those who enjoy clean, Christian, historical romance; you will love this one. Check it out for yourself and see what I mean. Enjoy! I received a review copy of this book from the author/publisher; all opinions in my review are my own.
