  • Classic Norse Tales Retold.

I have only heard good things about Gaiman's writing, so finally took the plunge and started with this. Classical tales told in such a way that they feel like they were originally written in English. There are even a few Myths less commonly discussed, and as Gaiman himself says, they are his own retelling, and as such may be obscure ones re-told. Regardless, thoroughly interesting read, especially if you've recently indulged in any other media relating to Norse Mythology recently!

  • Naughty Norse gods

These Norse myths and legends are retold by the epic storyteller Neil Gaiman - a worthy inheritor of the bardic tradition. He is able to take these ancient stories and shift them in to a current and relevant vernacular.

  • Good for reading to a group

Purchased this book as had an interest in Norse mythology which it covers very well indeed. Feel book is more of a story telling book rather than one to read on ones own - hence just the three stars. It would excel in group setting, keeping the listener in suspense.
