  • A fun almost office romance with fake dating feel

Cute! I love a "oops we're married" or a fake dating trope, and this sort of felt like a combo between the two. I'm excited to read more by this author. The two main characters work together, the H is a from an affluent well-known family and wants to escape that for a bit, while the h is an established middle class lawyer tasked with taking on an intern, and she takes on H at the suggestion from her boss that knowing him might help get her into a program that pays better and is run by his parents. There is an instant attraction, but neither of them acts on it, because of the boss/intern power dynamic, but once the internship ends, he's ready to make his move. This move includes helping her get to a bachelorette weekend with her family in Vegas, using his private jet, and the two end up drunk in front of an Elvis impersonator and married. They both agree it was too hasty and they barely know each other, but there is that spark and they both feel like keeping up the appearance of being married might help them while they wait for their divorce to go through. Faking a healthy marriage leads them to explore some real feelings, and it was just an overall fun read.
