  • Great story of romance, family and intrigue!

The Rebellious Sons series are very much independent stories with common friends throughout all of them - very similar to series' by Stephanie Laurens, Jo Beverly, Mary Jo Putney, and Johanna Lindsey. This particular book brings intrigue from the European kingdoms during the war with France and Napoleon. This is a fast paced book, with a lot of fun characters and an unlikely romance. Poor Nick Atherton is a perfect example of a younger son who was born in the wrong place and time. It is refreshing to see a man in this time period that knew not to underestimate a female - and oh does he get taken on a merry chase.

Interesting and fun, but a little far fetched at times.
