    Light-Hearted, Fun & Very Sexy!

3.5/4 Stars | Hot Steam I don’t often gravitate towards romantic comedies, but I simply couldn’t resist trying Alice Clayton’s newest release, NUTS. Light-hearted, playful and very, very sexy, Roxie and Leo’s charming small town romance was a delightful escape that had me turned way on and absolutely salivating for more than just the delicious hero. Seriously, this book should come three things: a vibrator, a companion cookbook—because I need to make those mouth-watering cakes!—and a warning: “Must read on a full stomach”. Filled with luscious foods and foodie-related mishaps, hilarious friends, and a flirty and frisky well-matched pair of summer lovers who get it so enviably right—despite basic gravity and those ever pesky bees—Roxie and Leo were a joy to read. Their banter sparkles, their kisses ignite and their true love endures, endlessly. So much nutty and naughty fun! I can’t wait for more steamy and smile-inducing tales from Bailey Falls! Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

    Nuts about this book!

Nuts (can I just say how much I love this title) is laugh out loud funny. The hot moments between Leo and Roxie left me cranking up the AC. And there are a few parts in this book that tore my heart out. That is the unexpected part of the story. I wasn’t ready for the moment when my heart fell into my stomach and I cursed Alice Clayton. I know some people may be mad at me for this next statement, but Leo won my heart and I found myself asking, “Simon, who?” Just kidding, I’ll never forget my Wallbanger. Ok, moving on. Leo? Where can I find this farmer, or a farmer just like him? He is perfection. And the kicker is when you get to the part where I teared up and lost my heartbeat, it will kind of make you love him even more. Farmer Boy is now and forever, MINE! I absolutely loved the banter between these two. Roxie is someone I could definitely see myself hanging out with. Omg, can that woman cook and bake. I seriously wish Alice would put these recipes into a cookbook. All beesnuis aside (see what I did there, you’ll have to read it and see what I mean). Nuts is hilarious, sexy, sweet, and unexpected. A great start to a new series. I’m really looking forward to the next one. I’m crossing my fingers that it’s the dairy farmers turn.

    Review: Hudson Valley 1: Nuts

Nuts by Alice Clayton is the first book in her brand new Hudson Valley series. It is an absolutely HILARIOUS sexy romp through diner living and farm to table humping. Did I mean to say humping? Yes, yes I did. Roxie and Leo are a spectacular duo. Roxie doesn't date - she is more of a wham bam kinda girl. She has zero time for feelings. Leo is the sexy hot farmer in her hometown that she has recently moved back to and the can't stop falling over each other. Literally. It seems like Roxie and Leo circle each other - her stating "Only For The Summer!" and Leo being all like, "okay" but when she discovers a secret he has been {hiding} not sharing with her, things change - they get real in a way way Roxie is NOT ready for, and she is about to question everything she had laid out for herself.

    Romantic comedy

One of the best reads in a long time. Combine a chef, farmer, granola mother, and a variety of other characters, and you end up with a book you can't put down. I am eager to read all of Alice Clayton's novels.
