5 Star Review Office Intrigue (Office Intrigue Duet #1) by Nicole Edwards Firstly both books in this duet are being released on the same day which is totally awesome as we do not have to wait to see what happens. There were so many layers to this book that Nicole Edwards had to break it in two and I totally understand why she did. As Ms. Edwards states there is a combination of MFM, MF, MM and MMF, throw in BDSM, swapping, sharing, voyeurism and exhibitionism and you have a story that ignites as you read. Having read all of Ms.Edwards previous book and absolutely devouring the Club Destiny and Walker Brother series, I was excited when I learned about this duet. Two of may favourite genres are BDSM and menage and you will most assuredly find both in this book as well as the next one; this is a seriously hot book and one which will be sure to get you going. There were moments when I laughed, I cried and at times I wanted to shout with frustration; the communication which is essential in a D/s relationship at times failed. This is the story of Luciana (call me Luci) and the four men who are her bosses at a PR firm. Langston, his twin brother Landon, Justin and Ben are all dominants, although Ben is actually a switch. While Luci is intrigued by their offer to explore submission she has no idea what she is opening herself up too. The chemistry between Luci and all the men, but in particular Langston and Landon was off the charts and it most certainly led to many steamy scenes, throw in BDSM and I was always going to be hooked. However for me, these books are primarily a true love story, of overcoming fears, of acceptance, not only of others but of ourselves and with hard work and determination how a person can truly evolve. Office Intrigue is not only about sex, at the heart of this book is a story about finding the courage to look deep inside yourselves and to recognise what you need to make you happy.

  • I couldn't put it down

I loved this book. It is the first in a duet, but both books released at the same time, so once I finished this, I went straight into the next one. I ended up reading the two books in four days because I had trouble putting them down. I love the way the author writes. Every time I pick up a book of hers, I get so involved in the story and the characters that I feel so sad when the book finishes. And this book was no different, so thankfully, the second book was waiting for me.

  • Awesome

This was really really good! Took me out of my comfort zone a little bit but it’s written so well I very much enjoyed it. It’s hardcore Nicole Edwards at her best, she’s an author who really knows her subject and it shows throughout the story. It had a really intimate feel to it. The characters were so different from each other. Luci was so willing to please but didn’t shy away from having her own opinion although I personally wouldn’t of been so open in some of the situations, I’d never of been able to keep my mouth shut at times but she managed it and that just showed such a strength to her character. The guys were just something else. Langston was my favourite although their all such interesting characters. The dynamic was really fun to read as it was so full on and you could feel how precariously balanced it was. Ben interested me from the very start and I liked how he wasn’t the person I thought he was at the beginning, I though he was going to be a really tough character but he’s got a really soft heart and he was perfect to take the edge of the more harsh Justin. I could really sense that he would be the perfect confident for Luci. Landon I felt was the perfect balance between the light and dark with his twin. I’m kinda hoping we get abit more action with these two in the next book. I wanted a few more scenes with Ben and Justin, Nicole is one of the best authors around that writes MM and I could read those scenes forever. Brilliantly written, a real page turner and I dare anyone to not struggle with having to put this down when real life gets in the way. I’m so happy I’ve got the next book on my kindle ready to start. Not a lot of sleep for me until it’s finished!

  • WICKEDLY SEXY

In book 1 of author Nicole Edwards’ “Office Intrigue” duet, 24-year old Luciana Wagner accepts a secretarial position for 4 "uber-sexy" owners/partners of a very prestigious PR firm. But unbeknownst to Luci, her new bosses—Ben, Justin, Langdon and Langston—are looking to share more than just her secretarial skills. Hopeful that Luci will be on board with their ultimate desire, the bosses slowly work up to the "big reveal." Once they do, Luci is excited by the prospect, and ultimately opens herself up to new sexual experiences she had yet to explore. Without a doubt, Nicole Edwards is well known for her steamy, erotic novels that have an emphasis on dominant/submissive relationships, BDSM, partner-sharing, and various forms of sexual kink. These elements are neither a surprise NOR a game changer for me. In fact, I am not easily offended by erotica, regardless of how it is packaged and delivered. But moving these elements to an office setting in such a pervasive way, DID, however, give me several moments of pause. So, before moving forward with my review, let me first address, AND put to rest, my initial concerns. In today’s climate--where the sexual harassment and assault of women in the work place by men in a position of power, permeates the news almost daily--it’s only natural for a novel with a strong emphasis on sex within the confines of an office setting, to cultivate a bit of unease. Personally, it was the secrecy (with regards to the boss’ true intent), as well as the term “job requirements” (to describe the direction in which they hoped to move their office interactions), that I disliked the most. But putting those two objections aside, I feel that hesitant and/or sensitive readers need to be informed of a few important and very pertinent facts before proceeding: 1. ALL participants are willing, consenting adults. AT NO TIME was Luci forced, threatened, or coerced into doing something against her will. 2. Luci’s job was NEVER in jeopardy. Throughout this book (and the next), it was made crystal clear, that regardless of Luci’s participation and/or choices, her position within the company was always safe and secure. 3. Each of Luci’s bosses recognized and respected her true value to their company. When it came to her work, Luci was given a great deal of responsibility and was often praised for her abilities and efforts. 4. This is a work of FICTION--a fantasy put in print--one that many women might like to indulge in and enjoy. So... having now addressed any potential concerns, let me move on by saying that “Office Intrigue” is by far, one of the hottest, naughtiest, most explosive books I have read to date! I swear, I could practically see the steam rising from my Kindle!! While the mutually agreed upon office arrangement between these 5 individuals is sinfully sexy and unique, it’s the compelling characters that hooked me, keeping me engaged from start to finish. Each of Luci’s wickedly naughty bosses are more than just sexual dominants. They have distinctly different personalities to go along with their distinctly different kinks and needs. I loved peeling back the layers, discovering more about the men who—not only claim Luci’s body—but who will ultimately claim a piece of her heart. But by the end of part one in this duet, it becomes abundantly clear that not all of these men will claim an equal part. As feelings evolve and the dynamic between their interactions changes, so does their relationships moving forward. And, as each of them will eventually ascertain, introspection and self-discovery is not solely reserved for Luci—a complication to their arrangement that was totally unforeseen. Or… was it? Since both parts of this Office Intrigue duet have been released simultaneously, there's no break in the story's flow. As far as I'm concerned, this lack of interruption, makes for a wonderful added plus!
