  • One Night with her Boss

A wonderful story, but way too short. Such a delightful couple, and her girlfriends were a riot. A nice, fun read.

  • Short story

This storyline was mainly about the guy and his former career. It didn't have much substance and was sorely lacking. Should have had more depth.

  • Needs a sequel

Great, their story needs to be told more. From beyond the epilogue.

  • Not bad

Too predictable like a Watford story, not bad for a debut though, I wish it'd be longer and has more depth in the story. All in all, it was silly but still an ok.

  • Unrequited Love Resolved In One Night

This is the first time I am reading a Noelle Adams book and I was very eager to do so as I had read some encouraging high reviews of her many books. This book, One Night With Her Boss, is the fourth in the One Night series. The entire novella is told from Anne's point of view, who is an administrative assistant for the CEO of a surfboard and surf paraphernalia company. She is in love with her boss and her feelings are unrequited leading to frustration. The boss, Jake is quite unaware and a complete workaholic. He used to be a surfing champion but an injury has led to him changing the trajectory of his dreams. He appears closed off and sullen. The story was based on a good premise and was fairly predictable. But sometimes, I want and like that. I think my issue was that the heroine was quite confused, insecure and then in one night becomes extremely vixen-like. Same with the hero, he was oblivious, focused and then later so impulsive. I am not a big fan of the instant attraction premise. Plus, I was left a little unfulfilled on why the characters never shared their true feelings besides the employee and employer relationship. Since I wanted to familiarize myself with this authoress' writing, I obtained the free version of this book on Kobo. Maybe that was the reason why there were a few typos and editing issues in the book. I am not a big fan of a single voice narration. I like when I get to hear both sides, gives it depth. I knew what I was getting into, in that it was a quick romance with unrequited love, but I wish there was more substance to bit into. I am still a little curious to read what happens with Anne's friends. If you are looking for a workplace romance and a quick read, you may enjoy this.

    Thanks for your feedback!
