  • great read!!!!

What a lovely, lovely read! The story follows several character over the course of one day, from early morning to, late night and manages to change their life profoundly. The writing is extremely funny, with laugh out loud moments, but yet emotional and moving. I loved how the author manages to intertwine the various character to the point that by the end they're all linked in some way. And I especially loved the fact the all the characters were so relatable, real human beings, with everyday flaws and struggles and no one seemed far fetched or not believable. Shari Low is officially one of my favourite authors now, and I've just bought other two books of hers. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

  • Great Summer Read!

One Summer Sunrise was such a fun and quick read - so PERFECT for summer! Synopsis: The book takes place over the course of one day and begins with 3 separate storylines that eventually all weave together! The 3 storylines are as follows: 1. Maisie, who was recently jilted at the altar by her musician ex. On this summer day, Maisie is filling in for her BFF at a catering event because she is in labor. The only problem is that the event is taking place at the exact location where she was jilted! 2. Harriett, an elderly lady who is recovering at the hospital from a bad fall. Harriett is a lonely lady that has no family and is actually dreading going home from the hospital where she will be alone. 3. Scott and Kelly, a couple that got pregnant at 16 and stayed together to raise their daughter Carny. Carny is about to leave home for London. What I Loved: I loved that I felt invested in all 3 of the storylines even though it took some time to find out how they all were related. The drama was intense! I also loved the author's sense of humor that came out in various situations through the book! I love a book that has me smiling at the end! What I Didn't Love: The title - I feel like it's forgettable and it doesn't relate to the story as well as it could. The various drama situations didn't feel super original to me, but I have to admit that I loved it nonetheless!

  • Great Read

What a beautiful story, some laughs, some tears and a happily ever after I didn't totally see coming. This story is told from several characters' point of view. The author did an amazing job of weaving all their stories together and creating a story that flows and ebbs along easily. Throughout the story the characters all have to deal with heartache, lies, confusion, loss, forgiveness and second chances. But, what they find after all the dust settles is a future none of them expected! Loved this story! I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

  • Loved This

A heart warming story of love, friendship and family. It is very well written and was an absolute pleasure to read. The characters were all really interesting and they developed as the book went on. This story made me smile and made me cry. I enjoyed this book and all of the dysfunctional relationships and the resolutions of them for the parties involved...it was thoughtful and the ending was the best. Shari Low's stories are always a joy to read, but this really is exceptional. One Summer Sunrise is definitely the author's best book to date and really showcases her talent for storytelling. I can't wait to see what she delivers next.

  • Pure Dead Brilliant!

Another rip-roaring read from Shari Low! One summer day with such a lot going on! Maisie decides to find out exactly what was going through her ex’s mind when he jilted her at the altar; Harriet considers where her lonely existence is leading until she sees a familiar face in the crowd. Scott and Kelly have stayed together to raise their daughter who was the result of a teen pregnancy, but with her leaving home today Scott has plans to pursue his own dreams, but Kelly has news of her own to surprise him with. Just one day, 24 hours, to affect the rest of their lives – who’s going to live happily ever after? Shari Low is one of my must-not-miss authors; she never fails to entertain and lift my spirits. Her sense of humour always makes me giggle and I think that she must have some great fun with her real-life pals. This novel is just bursting with terrific characters – I loved them all and would be hard pushed to choose but Maisie, Janice and Jane will be hard to forget, and about-to-give birth Sissy has some cracking one-liners! Their quick-witted rapid fire repartee is pure dead brilliant, so it is! Don’t be fooled though, this is a cleverly plotted tale of lives intertwined, all based on real situations and beautifully written. A pleasure to read but not just full of fun as there’s plenty to make you think too. I loved everything about this one and I’m not sure I’ll ever have my fill of this author’s work. Absolutely, definitely a sparkling five star read and my highest recommendation.
