  • Loved it

The author has pulled us into the lives of Ryder and Millie and never lets go. He has been hiding out in the mountains but when his sister begs for help picking her friend up at the airport, he helps even if it against his will. They end up stranded at his rustic cabin during a snowstorm and each will need to let down their walls if they want to be able to last the weekend together instead of driving each other crazy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Ryder's Secret

Millie is not very happy when her boyfriend, instead of offering her an engagement ring ends up dumping her… by email. Trying to drown her sorrows at a bar, she ends up heading for Alaska to write a review for her former college roommate Cindy’s retreat on behalf of the travel magazine she works for. But instead of finding Cindy waiting for her and ready to commiserate the boyfriend disaster with her, she gets stuck with Cindy’s former MMA grouchy brother, Ryder, ready to escort her around since Cindy broke her ankle! When Millie and Ryder have to spend some nights together at his isolated cabin due to the big snowstorm, he accidentally tells her why he hates Christmas. He might not be such an ogre after all! Is he finally able to open up to someone? You won’t see the shocker coming, so grab your copy and hang on tight!

  • Sexy!

Millie and Ryder are smoking hot together and I loved their banter and back and forth. Forced to spend time together finally sees him opening up though and I loved seeing his walls come down. This is one great holiday read that will sure warm you up.

  • Very hot and partly unpredictable

It's a great romance that begins simply with a rejection between Millie who gets stuck because of the cold and the snow, for a few days with Ryder, who is very mysterious, rude and secretive. It is the characters and their dialogues, their relationships that hold the narrative as the mystery of Ryder's character is what keeps the suspense going and moves the narrative in a completely unexpected direction due to his past as an MMA champion. His reactions and actions are also unpredictable and sometimes very surprising. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

  • Injured and need help

Millie has issues and needs to take a break but gets injured while out and about. Ryder is being a stinker about doing the gentlemanly thing by helping. But when its gets cold and the resources are limited. Who needs body heat?? Raise your hand if that is the resource of your desire. Being in a Magyver state of mind this is the perfect solution. SOOOO why not let the good times roll. Read to figure out the rest of the adventure. No cliffhanger but it feels like it.
