    A wonderful Christmas read!

What a wonderful read! While I was reading the story, I felt the Christmas atmosphere and couldn't wait for snow and to start with Christmas decoration. The story starts with Hollie getting her heart broken by her now ex-fiancé. With her friends help she decides to make the best out of her sour situation and fulfil her wish of a White Christmas. Two months latter and finally landing on Canadian soil things don't go as planned, but luckily for Hollie and her finding a lost young lama, then meeting it's owner just may make her wish of a White Christmas come true after all. I really enjoyed reading Hollie and Jim's journey to finding each other. Both had a sad experience with love before and now still chose to give it a try. It was great to see them slowly fall in love and the ending was so sweet and beautiful. Having read both POVs' helped to understand those two characters immensely. Both characters were quite likable and what I loved about Jim the most is that he genuinely is a nice and good guy, who tries to move on from his tragic loss. And as for Hollie, life threw her a curveball but at the end of the day she still stood tall and made the best out of it. This is a short, sweet and quite enjoyable read that is worth your time reading it. :)

    Fun holiday read

Operation White Christmas by Nicki Edwards is a great holiday read. Ms Edwards has delivered a well written book. Hollie and Jim's story was a great reminder of how much fun can be had in the snow. This clean romance is safe for all ages. Operation White Christmas has plenty of sorrow and drama, but also hope and humor. Nicki Edwards' Christmas gift to readers were the characters in this book, I loved them! Operation White Christmas is a quick read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from Nicki Edwards in the future. Operation White Christmas is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I received a copy of this book from Net Galley for review purposes.

Great to read in front of a fire!

ARC kindly provided by Momentum Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Review ‘Operation White Christmas’ is a second-chance romance story and a sweet Christmas novella: perfect for reading in front of the fire. It was full of raw emotion and I liked the characters a LOT. Both seemed to be internally vulnerable (aka full of emotional baggage per blurb) but full of spunk and resilience that I greatly admired. There were many times that I laughed out loud or grinned along with the characters! The writing flows well right from the beginning. Only a few pages in and I had already started to connect with the female lead, Hollie. I loved the author's writing style! She seemed to be able to capture all the important bits in the story and carry of the essence of the plot straight into the reader's hands and mind. I got really attached to our two main characters: Hollie and Jim. The setting was absolutely beautiful! I fell in love with the snowy outback farm of Canada and greatly enjoyed how the author used the place to create a sense of tranquillity and isolation: great for the start of a budding romance and for getting those sparks started. It was funny how the author portrayed Aussies and Canadians since I'm an Australian, too! She would exaggerate some accents gently and point out the way we Aussie tend to make the 'r' silent whilst Americans exaggerate it. It was great for a laugh! Not once did I see a spelling mistake or typing error. The grammar was excellent and there was not one bit that I could criticise. I greatly admired the prose and how well the author seemed to be convey everything. Surprisingly, this was a clean romance story. However, it did not take away from the absolutely gorgeous love story that captured my heart. Even though it was a typical and cliche stuck-in-a-winter storm I really loved the novella. I might just have to go out and read the other novels in the 'Escape to the Country' series. Congratulations to Nicki Edwards on publishing such a lovely Christmas novella! Rating Plan 1 star : Strongly did not like the book, writing and plot was bad. Idea of the book was against my liking. 2 star : Didn't like it, didn't find it interesting or gripping. Seemed to drag on to me. 3 star : An average book. Wasn't bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea. 4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I Enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. 5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!
