  • Interesting and thought provoking

I enjoyed this book. Interesting characters and story. I always want to know more about the characters and what happens to them, so I was disappointed with the ending. It does however give you a chance to form your own speculation of what could happen.

Engaving. I fou d myself grapling with the isues of right and wrong, ethical and unethical it evkes compassion for the heroine. The novel easily trasitioned from the first perzon in the prese t to the third person which provided the history and the why the heroine is in this dificult place. The rlatiohips are complex and well developed. Definitely a must read!

  • A page turner

I coul not put this book down. Thought that experiments were done on children is heartbreaking. Excellent thought provoking book.

  • Enjoyed

The first chapter captured my attention! Continuing, I enjoyed both story lines - one as Rachel as a child and the other as an adult, but thought the romantic plot unessessary & distracting. I believe other character plots could have been explored more deeply had it been left behind. But all in all, worth the read!

Although this is fiction it certainly displays nonfiction content. Personal I related to working in large institutions that professed care but we,re human warehouses where position and power and isolation let others do whatever they wanted in the name of medical science. I am sure it is still done somewhere to the disenfranchised in silence and without conscious. as a n older lesbian who came out late I know what it,s like to live in pretense to protect the moral majority. I really loved this book because it was real to me congradulation to the author.enjoy
