    The longest tale

A fascinating topic in which the author is very well versed, but too long winded and repetitive. It would benefit from a severe editing to cut it down by half. Also, a pregnancy is not a "bump on the tummy" and "twas okay" doesn't sound like authentic medieval language to me.

    Terrible writing

The synopsis promised an interesting read. The reality was slow, laboured and turgid. My ebook said 850 pages, the story could have told better in 300 pages, I gave up after 150.

    Outremer 1

This was a tough read. I liked the concept and the storyline was interesting. Unfortunately the author put too much information in, which slowed the pace. The ending indicates part 2 is on the way. I will look out for it, and genuinely want to know what happens next - but hopefully in a more concise volume.

    Outreamer

Facinating, complex and intriguing. By no means a simple read but rewarding and enriching none the less.
