  • A satisfying conclusion to Kardos & Shaya’s story

‘Own to Obtain’ is the ninth book in the Myth of Omega series and the conclusion of Kardos and Shaya’s story. Separated by distance Kardos and Shaya soon come to realize the bleak reality of their futures if they can’t reconcile. Shaya has finally come into herself, showing some backbone and real strength of character. If only she can convince her sister Kyus and Kardos to stop their coddling. I enjoyed the conclusion of this couple’s journey, but I found the overall vibe to be considerably lighter than I was anticipating, given the storyline. There’s plenty of drama, secrets, betrayals and deceptions, along with some surprising revelations, in addition to several steamy, erotic encounters and many heartfelt emotional moments. As with its predecessors the story is well written and the characters are compelling. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Good book!

This is the conclusion of Shaya and Kardos's story. Shaya and Kardos learn to communicate better with one another. Good book, well written. I was gifted an ARC copy from the author, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

  • Phenomenal Writing and Passionate Story

**** First and foremost, let me say this book is not only part of a series, but also part of a trilogy and should not be read before at least reading "Own To Obey" and "Own To Obsess" as this is the conclusion to Kardos and Shaya's story **** Now, as for my feelings about this book, as badly as I wanted to read it (if you have read the previous books, you will know what I mean), it was a bitter-sweet moment when I started it, knowing that this was not only the last book in the trilogy but also the final book of the series – a series I have been totally addicted to from the start. It starts off from where Shaya (the Omega) has managed to break the bond and flee from the Southern Lands but she is ambivalent at best as to what she should do next – should she return to Kardos or keep running? Kardos is fuming at the loss of his Omega and it is written in such a way that you can actually FEEL the emotions coming from the pages. The author is a master of writing the perfect anti-hero and Kardos is no different. He is a true Omegaverse Alpha in my eyes – hard, demanding, dominant and punishing. He is also jealous and possessive, and will do anything to get his Omega back. In this book, we learn more about Kardos and yes, if you hated him in the previous books, you will love him in this one. He grows in personality and redeems himself in making himself vulnerable for the first time – a scene where I couldn’t help but shed a couple of tears. I also really enjoyed the appearance made by alphas from the previous books in this series (Drocco and Malloron) and of course, as with the other trilogies, there are a couple of twists in this book to make things even more interesting. The writing is phenomenal, the story passionate. It is a fast-burn Omegaverse / Paranormal / Fantasy Romance written from a dual pov with no cheating and ends in a hea. I HIGHLY recommend not only this book but the entire series to all lovers of Omegaverse, dark romance and anyone who just wants to "feel" when reading a book - though not recommended for persons under the age of 18. I will seriously be holding not only my thumbs but all fingers and toes that the author will decide to continue with this incredible, unique and addictive series. Until then, I foresee many re-reads in the future.
