  • Wonderful!

Terra is not at all sure she can be pack leader. The Wilder pack is a more traditional pack that doesn't believe in female pack leaders. She and Wolfie must separate while she tries to pull the pack together. Things are happening behinds the scenes to make things harder for her and keep the two mates apart. I loved this story. It's a must read along with all the books in this series!

  • waiting for the next book SUCKS

Read Shiftless (the first in this series) and was hooked completely from the start. Loved it so much had to get the rest of the books in not only this series, but the complete bloodling serial (which is Wolfie's life before Shiftless) plus the first of the Alpha Underground series (which is a spin off from this series about Fen's life after Alpha Ascendant). All great books, and I'm sure if you start reading you'll be hooked on them too. The characters are wonderful, as is the world that Aimee has created. The only negative is that I now have to wait for more books to come out (luckly there has been another book released in the Alpha Underground Series so I can look forward to a weekend curled up on the Sofa with Lone Wolf Dawn) but then I have to wait for the 3rd and final book of the series to come out later on in the year -WAITING SUCKS. Will include this review on the following books :- The Complete Bloodling Serial: Episodes 1-5, Shiftless: A Fantastical Werewolf Adventure, Pack Princess: A Fantastical Werewolf Adventure, Alpha Ascendant: A Fantastical Werewolf Adventure, & Half Wolf

  • Fun and exciting urban fantasy...

This is the second book in the Wolf Rampant Series and picks up soon after the events of Shiftless (book 1). The main character, Terra, is trying to come to grips with taking over as pack alpha (not a common role for female shifters to occupy) and wants to reorganize and revitalize the Wilder pack to reestablish its role in the shifter community. The former alpha, Terra’s father, is no longer able to oversee the affairs of the pack as he once did and that leaves his only heir, Terra, to pick up the pieces. Having been subjugated by her father and his relentlessly restrictive patriarchal pack for her entire childhood, she is neither confident nor assertive which are essential attributes for a pack leader. She has a lot to learn and, not surprisingly, her father isn’t really helping the situation. To make matters worse, she must learn to lead the pack without the help of Wolfie, her mate. This story follows Terra as she must face danger in many forms and from all sides, she must learn to negotiate pack politics, and she must force herself to emerge from the shadows to become a worthy pack alpha. If you have read any of Ms. Easterling’s work, you know that the world-building is excellent, the characters will be engaging, and the adventure will be a wild ride – this story is no exception. Happily, in the audio version of this story, Kelly McCall Fumo reprises her role as narrator. She does an outstanding job as she did in Shiftless. Her mellifluous voice and impeccable choice of cadence and tone for each situation make listening to her performance a real treat. The combined talents of the author and the narrator are truly a winning combination. While I did purchase and enjoy this book back in 2015, I was recently given a free audio copy of the story by the author and I am voluntarily offering this honest review. If you find this review helpful, I thank you for so indicating.

  • Pack Princess packs a wallop!

This book was a little more political than Shiftless. It does pick up speed at almost exactly 25% in. This author is still finding her voice and at first it seems the book was written by a different author, and there is one sentence that is R rated, but it doesn't take up too much space. There is longing throughout this one, sweet and satisfying in the end. If you have invested any emotion to these characters, you'll want to read Pack Princess and slog past the slow beginning. It is worth it.
