  • Great series

Love this series - nice, easy reading. Writing is great, not often that I laugh out loud when I read a book!! I would recommend this book for anyone that loves reading cozy mysteries.

  • Picture

A delightful read on par with Agatha Christies books with the main character Miss Marple

  • Mrs. Magoo

This was a painful read for me. This is a parody of Ms Marple and Scotland Yard detective stories in general and it shows. The main character is so absurdly obtuse that if I had been reading a physical copy I would have thrown it across the room at times. I only gave it 3 stars because there were some brief parts that made me laugh. Perhaps the characterisation evolved in later books (one hopes) but they're very heavy handed in this one.

  • Picture Miss Sweeton

such a humorous non nonsense little lady just seem to fall into the spot at the right time and manages to solve the mystery. reminds me of Miss Marple with more humour. s joy to read
