    Play to win

Chloe Talley hooks up with Grant Osprey at Comic-Con while in character. Their Cosplay turns HOT and they decide to extinguish the flames the old fashioned way. Only he turns up the heat. Later, Grant meets her in a restaurant while dining with her brother. And again later. They keep meeting like this and he might start to get ideas. If he didn't already have them, that is. Chloe, and her family, have been through a lot since losing her sister. It has been 2 years and she seems to be the family scapegoat for feelings of all kinds. Can she be selfish and take for her own needs? Grant just cannot stop thinking of the beautiful and smashing Chloe. It is starting to effect his work too. He wants to see her out of Cosplay and in a real life role. Her brother wants to kill him if he so much as hints at it. What's a guy to do? This story has so much to offer the reader! It is full of nerdy sayings, angst, humor, satire, lust, and so much more. I found the book was not one I could put down. The characters are so achingly refreshing in a book that has so many surprises and smoking hot sexy times. ***This ARC was given for review purposes only.

    Hot, hot, hot!

Grant and Chloe know how to turn up the heat no matter where they are or who they are pretending to be! The role play throughout the story was something that I hadn't read about before and it made the story really fun. I liked the first book where I first met Grant and his daughter, so I loved seeing Chloe fit in with them. My only complaint is that the story was too short, just like with Changing His Game, I would have liked to see their relationship develop more thoroughly, although I did feel the emotional connection between them. Even though it is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. 4.5 stars I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

    Great read

After a wild, crazy, and completely anonymous night, Grant Osprey can't get the woman he met at the gamer convention out of his head. Too bad she was gone when he woke. No name, no number, no finding her! Imagine his shock when he meets his new business partners sister. Yep, you guessed it! His very aloof mystery woman. Chloe can't believe her bad luck. The one time she decides to let go and get a little crazy comes back to bite her. It's not that she wouldn't like a little more time with Grant, but that woman he was with wasn't her, not really. That night she was brave, wild, and uninhibited. Everything Chloe isn't!! This one was a great read. Loved the characters and pace of the story. I would definitely recommend this one. (

    Romantic with an edge!

Here we are, back in the gamers world. This time it's Grant Osprey's turn to find his HEA. They met at comic con, doing cosplay as Sari and Breck from Aric's Revenge and had that amazing anonymous hook up. While waiting at a restaurant for Ethan, his new magazine partner, who should walk in on his arm but Ethan's sister, Chloe. Only Grant knew her as Sari. SURPRISE!!! Fantastic story! I love the "wounded soul and the one willing to do anything to make them whole again" story line. So romantic! This one is romantic but with a sexy edge. The fact that Grant is a dad, just gives it a little more depth. I can't wait for Ethan story! Review copy provided via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. Sexy Nerds

Cosplay? Gamers? Role-play? Yeah, I'm completely out of my element so I blew past those references to what's familiar: relationships. I really dislike timid, mousy heroines and could not for the life of me understand Chloe's need to express herself by playing a role. She's pretty and successful and even though I don't get gamers, I get that being a woman in a male-dominated field like hers is a huge achievement and should be enough to make her confident but Chloe is socially awkward and very reserved. Attending the Comic Con gives her the opportunity to be someone else and of course she picks a character that is very far from who she really is and the result? The hottest sex of her life with a very sexy guy! Grant Osprey is a single father and between his daughter and his job, he has very little time for anything remotely resembling fun so the Comic Con is his chance to cut loose and enjoy himself and if it leads to a passionate and uninhibited encounter, he's definitely not going to pass up on that but he does not expect her to sneak out while he's asleep without leaving him any contact information. When an chance encounter reveals his hook-up as the younger sister of his business partner, Grant is quick to express his interest in getting to know here better but this Chloe is very far from the bold and confident woman he met before, unwilling to acknowledge the chemistry between them unless she could assume another persona. Grant wants the real Chloe but he'll take her however he can get her, for the moment. And through a series of coincidences, they find themselves being thrown together many times. PLAYING FOR HER HEART was fun to read and I really liked Grant and how tenacious he was. He was not willing to give up on Chloe, he made sure that she know that she was wanted, that she mattered and it was just what she needed after being ignored for most of her life by her family. While the emotional issues got tedious after a bit, there was enough steam to balance them out. Chloe really was all of those personas she played at. Yes, she was shy but when she let herself go, she was fun, confident, outspoken, very sexy, open and playful and Grant brought out the best in her. I really liked Chloe's brother, Ethan too and while broody and damaged heroes are not my thing, I really want to know more about him and I hope that the next book will be his story.
