  • A thoroughly engrossing read

Historical novels are an acquired taste but if you are fascinated by the effects of the Second World War and its aftermath on the lives of people in Berlin, then this is one for you. The central character John Russell, a British journalist and long-time resident of Berlin, is caught up in the shady world of espionage involving the Russians and Americans as well as the German authorities. Potsdam Station is the fourth book in a series of six, so if you want to fully understand the context you should really begin at the beginning with Zoo Station. I enjoyed it.

    Thanks for your feedback!
