  • Another Kellerman Winner

A hard to put down detective thriller. Well written with a neat plot and sparkling dialogue. The characters are beautifully realised. Excellent in every way.

  • Really good but don't be confused

This is also published as "Beast". Very interesting story, with a side story continuing for Gabe and his girlfriend. Brings up more questions for the future, with Pete rethinking where he wants to live. The story is about an eccentric millionaire who lives with his pet lion. The initial thought is that perhaps the creature has something to do with his death, but in fact it's an innocent bystander. The delving into the remote sanctuary was very interesting, as was the extra story about the missing masseuses. The mad millionaire is shown to be universally disliked so there are plenty of possible suspects. Further investigation shows more unexpected creatures living closely with the victim, who seemed to be able to communicate far better with animals than humans. I'm looking forward to the next instalment, and I'm hoping that the Gabe/Yasmine story is allowed to deepen into a mature relationship as it seems to be promising. I would love to have Terri's input more in future books too.

    Thanks for your feedback!
