A sluggish journey across the Northern Ice Plains

The story was enjoyable, although sometimes a bit stale. What I liked most was the character development of familiar as well as new faces. What I didn't particularly enjoy was how slow the story moved on Anchorage, it took me a while to get through. Overall it was a good sequel to Mortal Engines but definitely not as good.

    Wonderful Sequel

This was also a very enjoyable read, it ended on a happier note than book one. I really enjoyed the addition of the new characters and the return of some of the old. So many good payoffs from events of the first book 😆

    Emotion over Action

While it still has some action scenes, the sequel is not as fast paced compared to the first book. While it details well Tom and Hester's path to settling down, it is not for one wanting a thriller. Good read all the same.
