  • Prose and Cons

The magical bookstore displays its miraculous abilities by saving Violet’s life and by healing the tree when a bullet hits it. I think David, the chief of police is aware of the healing aspects of the spring’s waters and looks at the healing of the tree and the fact that Violet left the watering can nearby and forgot to put it back in the shed. The mystery was a bit more evident in this book, and Violet had to be more physical to solve the mystery. There were a few red herrings thrown in to confuse us, but i did enjoy this book much more than the first one. I’m looking forward to the next in the series. (I think Emerson has a magical side to him as well.)
