    Protector for Hire

I absolutely loved Protector for Hire! I think it's my favorite book in this series by Tawna Fenske. In Protector For Hire Tawna entertained me with a lot of laugh out loud moments, but she also really brought in some serious, heart wrenching emotions. I loved both of the main characters. Janelle might be a big city girl, but she adapts remarkably well to the wilderness she finds herself in. There are no airs about her! She was real, funny, and very likable. Schwartz has a lot of layers that are peeled back in Protector For Hire, and he's a man who stole my heart and really made me feel. He has so much inner turmoil, and Janelle brings lightness when he least expects it. Schwartz and Janelle get very close, emotionally and physically in Protector For Hire. The chemistry between them is hot, and the connection is palpable. Schwartz doesn't want to feel, but he does. Janelle has been running terrified for her life, and Schwartz makes her feel so safe. What happens when they give in to the passion simmering between them is both hot and touching, and very relevant to their stories. The danger is not over though...can Schwartz keep focused and keep her safe? I loved the journey these two characters took. Protector for Hire is mostly Schwartz and Janelle, but the secondary characters who do make appearances are strong and memorable, great additions to the plot. I really liked Schwartz's family and how they were. I loved the wilderness setting, and Tawna describes things vividly. I'd highly recommend Protector For Hire to any romance reader who doesn't mind the laughter along with the tears!

    Excellent

Fun witty banter between the main characters make this an incredibly enjoyable read. This entire series has been fun to read! In this book Janelle Kebbler needs protection from her murdering ex husband. Where better to hide a city girl than in the woods with a grumpy recluse?? For eight years Schwartz Patton has hidden himself away from everyone after devastating losses in Iraq scarred his heart. Now his brother has tracked him down and asked for his help. Protecting this feisty, beautiful woman may be harder than he expected though!! This is a good one and I definitely recommend it.

    Protector for Hire

Schwartz Patton lives off the grid which comes in handy when his family needs him to protect Janelle Keebler but nobody warned him that he would have to guard his heart as well in this riveting contemporary romance. Janelle is a city girl through and through but the wilderness is looking mighty fine at the moment and the reader can’t help but enjoy this romance as the strong compelling characters discover each other. The attraction burns with some pretty intense chemistry but both characters have some emotional hang-ups and Schwartz really captures the heart with the sexy, protective but grumpy attitude that stems from his past in the army. A fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps expectation building throughout with suspense and romance while Schwartz fights his attraction to Janelle and Janelle slowly wins his heart with some quirky and fun distractions. Excitement and tension builds throughout the story mostly from the tension between Schwartz and Janelle but also the danger to Janelle from her ex-husband The scenes are well written and capture the imagination while the suspense draws readers in and ensures that the readers want to know what happens and some steamy and sexy scenes during Schwartz and Janelle’s courtship adds lots of spice. I haven’t read the previous books in this series (yet) and I had no problem catching on to the fact that the Patton family makes for some enjoyable and lighthearted with a side of quirky reading and since I enjoyed getting to know Schwartz and Janelle, I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of family.

    Her Hero

Schwartz Patton takes care of hiding Janelle Keebler as a favor for his brother. Her sister Anna, is married to his brother Grant. Janelle has a drug dealing, murdering, scum of an ex-husband who is trying to find her. Schwartz hides her in his cabin in the Montana wilderness. For a city girl, she really likes being away from it all. Like him, she can work from home on her laptop. As a graphic designer it does not matter where she is to work. She even learns to love his dog that is part wolf. Janelle is worried that her past has clouded her future. She believes she has bad taste in men. She is uncertain where her life will lead from here. Will she have to hide from her ex forever? Her attraction to Schwartz, however, is immediate. Schwartz has to protect her. He has a past that makes him feel like a failure in his military family. He feels like he should be alone. He punishes himself. He cannot make a mistake with Janelle. The attraction will just have to wait. This story is so good about PTSD and self esteem. I am not sure the author intended that, but it is a sincere book about building someone up. I was impressed with the honesty the characters share right from the start. He really does protect her and the banter alone is worth reading. ***This ARC was free from Netgalley.com and its publisher for review purposes.

Love and Family with some suspense

I enjoyed the first book in this series so much that I was hoarding books two and three for the perfect moment. Well, I can't hold on to them now since I've now read the fourth! Schwartz Patton is the oldest of the Patton boys and very much the recluse. Following the Patton family tradition, he joined the military but his final mission ended badly and his guilt about what happened had him choosing a life of solitude and it's been a decade since he had contact with most of his family. However, he'll do anything for them and when his brother asks for his help to protect his fiancee's sister, Schwartz is quick to step up. Janelle Keebler had the misfortune of marrying a drug-dealer, but in her defense he told her he was into pharmaceuticals, only he didn't mention that the pharmaceuticals were of the illegal variety. After witnessing him commit a crime, she is now on the run in fear for her life and where's the best place place to hide out? A rustic cabin in the wilderness of Montana, of course! And the perfect companion would be taciturn and rugged mountain man. Janelle is fun, bubbly and has a great sense of humor so it's no surprise that she's able to get a smile out of Schwartz in record time and their attraction is instant. However, Schwartz has got his eye on the goal of keeping her safe and he will not be distracted, having learned that lesson the hard way. What he doesn't expect is Janelle's relentlessness and they final give into their attraction. But that's not all there is to it. Janelle has the ability to see beyond the surface with Schwartz to the good man inside and has him opening up to people and rethinking his decision to isolate himself from his family. She also makes him realize that what they have going on between them is what they need - to love each other and support each other. I'm a city girl through and through and would only do rustic if the comforts of home are available, so I completely empathized with Janelle's shock at the less than ideal living arrangements but surprisingly she adopts to mountain living very easily. I've enjoyed every of Tawna Fenske's books that I've read and PROTECTOR FOR HIRE is no different. Fun dialogue, a bit of suspense and a lot of love and family makes this a treat to read and a great end to the series.
