    Unconvincing female voice

I just wasn't able to suspend disbelief and fully lose myself in this story because the narration sounded first person male but the character was supposed to be female. There was no organic reason for the male author to make the protagonist a woman and there was not even a trace of femininity in the point of view or inner dialogue. Appropriation of the other can be done very well but in this case it wasn't.

    Impressive

Nice to see Felix come into his own style. Well written and kept me going and on the edge of my seat through every page turn. Well done!

    Pulse

I thought this was a credible read and didn't feel a man writing in the female perspective missed the mark like a previous reviewer. Looking forward to the next one

    Mentally disturbed heroine

Not an admirable heroine. Lied to her family and her co-workers. Not up to his dad's standards. I likely won't read it again like a normal Francis book.
