    Questions of Travel

Quite disjointed throughout. Esoteric phrases and out of places images made narrative hard to follow and a disappointing ending. Only read all the way through because I paid for it!!!

    A delicious and satisfying read

An amazing tale set in a familiar contemporary context. Characters are beautifully portrayed. The author's use of metaphor is sublime and exquisitely masterful. An all round gem of a read.

    Was a little disappointed

Not easy to follow, some parts were funny, others poignant, not my usual style of reading matter...the end blew me away......

Read it slowly and look for the hidden depths.

I read this book twice now, the first time when I received it as a Christmas gift and the second time just recently. I tend to devour books the first time round because I need to know what happens. The second time I take more care over the language and the subtleties. I didn't enjoy it as much first time round, but now I think this is a cleverly scripted, wonderful book. The side by side stories of two very different characters from different parts of the world is handled gracefully and we gradually come to understand their similarities below the surface.
