    A fun New Adult read.

Devlin has served the High Court for all of eternity, done the bidding of the High Queen without fail… except when he didn’t kill Ani on her command. Ani is different. She has all the abilities and hungers of a Hound – AND of a Dark Court Faery. Plus, she can feed off mortals. She’s special. War wants to use her, Reason wants to kill her and Devlin will do anything to keep her save. A brilliant story. A full stand-alone novel. You’ll probably want to read the previous books to catch up on all the relationships, allegiances and history. My favourite part is when Ani realises where she and Devlin truly belong – and all that follows that realisation. Though categorised as a Young Adult Novel, I believe this falls more into the New Adult genre.

    An intriguing read

While not focusing on the main characters of the series, this book is still engaging to readers. Once again, tension is high in the book, meaning the reader will be drawn into the book. Unlike the last book, the action picks up with a few fight scenes within the book. Conforming to the previous books in the series, the descriptions in the book are very vivd, making the images in the book stand out. The emotions between the characters are very well described, with the reader feeling sympathy towards all characters as their situations are relatable in some way. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, it was a nice break from the main characters in the series whilst still being extremely engaging towards readers. The emotions that the characters feel are explored really well, in ways that are also engaging to the reader.
