    Epic fantasy at its most human

    The reason that I find Re:Zero to be such a strong series is that at it's core it's feels like it tells a very human story despite it being a grand fantasy. This continues to be evident in this novel, where even though a large percentage of the book is dedicated to an intense action scene, it continues at the same time to focus on Subaru's journey of overcoming his personal weaknesses, and in a very effective way. It also includes many more details then what was included in the anime, including an important Rem scene that should make other fans of the character very happy. I know I was.
