  • Another fine Adult Fairytale from Vivienne Savage

Another fine fairy tale retelling from Vivienne Savage. Like her take on Beauty and the Beast, Red and the Wolf is a character study as much as it is an action-packed tale of one kingdom's fight against encroaching evil. In this story, we get to see the cost of sorcery played out upon more common folk. Where Anastasia and Alistair of B&B are royalty, Sorcha (Red) and Conall (the Wolf) are more your every day people - though extraordinary in their abilities and their sense of duty to their king and country. I love the slow-building romance between Sorcha and Conall, but I love even more the adventure as they embark on their mission. I don't like to slip spoilers in, but let me just say Red is no silly girl, the wolf isn't just a sly beast, and the stakes are high in this rather epic adventure. My rating would be R due to at least one graphic sex scene, and while I think the language is basically clean, I think there may be a little rough language that may offend those who prefer not to read any profanity.

    Thanks for your feedback!
