  • Solid foundation but author has a huge ego

    The content of the book is good. It provides a solid foundation for understanding restorative yoga and in that it almost grants permission to high strung individuals, like myself, to slow down and to learn to appreciate and understand that slow is an equally important aspect of health and fitness. I found myself highly irritated by the author though. The book is filled with photos of her, and not photos to demonstrate poses, but photos to boost her ego I suppose. I would find myself enjoying the reading only to get hit with an onslaught of shameless self promoting photos of her. I didn’t get it. My suggestion would be that she get herself an Instagram account and seek her personal ego feed in that way VS inundating the readers of her book with personal photo shoot montages. My irritation with that definitely took away from the book as a whole.
